Rediscover the magic of the movie theater, the lights going out, the curtain opening and that beam of light that has been telling myriad stories for over a century.
The Locarno Kids Screenings section proposes works aimed at children, adolescents and families, with particular attention to films that stimulate reflection on oneself and on the world, and restorations aimed at rediscovering the history of cinema.
The screening schedule will be announced on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the Locarno Film Festival press conference, but you can already start putting some dates on your calendar:
Monday, July 31, 2023: the free Prefestival on the Piazza Grande, presented by la Mobiliare, will feature a film for all ages.
August 2 -12, 2023: during the afternoons of the 76th edition of the Locarno Film Festival you can attend the Locarno Kids: Screenings. Admission is free if you participate in at least one of the activities of the Locarno Kids workshop program.
