Pre-Festival Events & Screenings

Before the 76th edition of the Locarno Film Festival kicks off, a series of events will take place throughout the ten days of August. Curated by artistic director Giona A. Nazzaro, these initiatives bring special selections of past works from previous editions of the festival to Switzerland, from squares to museums to Alpine peaks. Recent discoveries and surprises, or gems from the past that have made cinematic history, the films presented are the perfect way to prepare for the screenings on the Piazza Grande.
