Benjamin Crotty, born ion 1979 in Spokane, Washington, studied painting at Yale University and film and video at Le Fresnoy. His work has been shown in festivals such as BFI London, Rotterdam, TIFF and NYFF, and in institutions including MoMA and Tate Modern. His first film, Fort Buchanan (2014), premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. His short The Glorious Acceptance of Nicolas Chauvin (2018) also premiered at Locarno and won the Fundación Casa Wabi – Mantarraya Award.
