João Pedro Rodrigues

João Pedro Rodrigues is a Portuguese filmmaker. His films have played at major international festivals, including Venice, Cannes, Berlin and Toronto. Since his debut, he has worked with art director João Rui Guerra da Mata, with whom he made such films as The Last Time I Saw Macao (2012), which competed in the Concorso internazionale of the Locarno Film Festival and received a mention from the jury. He won the best director’s prize at Locarno’s 69th edition for The Ornithologist (2016).
