Anouk is a 26-year old student from Paris. Her university choices are all film-related: she studied production and screenwriting at the Sorbonne, obtained a Master’s degree in documentary filmmaking and another in Film and Archive History, and she’s currently completing a PHD on Roberto Rossellini’s Journey to Italy. In addition to her studies, her passion has taken on many forms: film programming, directing, criticism, cinematography and post-production.
"As a programmer and a filmmaker, I am enthusiastic to be part of the Festival's thriving environment which will enable me to observe how its artistic team works, reflects on film curating and creates an impact on the audience…. As I have never set foot in Locarno before, I can only picture the event from a distance: thousands of people gathered on Piazza Grande under the stars, a crowd of movie-goers running from one theater to another, outstanding directors declaring their love for film again and again on the shore of Lake Maggiore.
How do I see the Festival in a year or two? I see a lot of young people rediscovering the joys of watching movies with a large audience and holding their breath together, in the piazzas, the streets and the theaters of Locarno."
