Locarno76 will be a deep dive into the world of film, including the involvement of new generations. And we don’t just mean a young audience; we mean proper participants in tomorrow’s filmmaking, thanks to our educational programs which allow for creativity and imaginative playfulness.  

For those already familiar with the project, we suggest preparing for the arrival of many news, films, guests, new workshops and locations… And if you’re a newcomer, we recommend putting this in your backpack to be prepared for the adventures:

1. Curiosity: prepare to take the first step, let curiosity guide you and come and discover the Locarno Film Festival.
    
2. Passion: nurture the pleasure of cinema and experience the magic of watching a film on the big screen with many other people. And most of all, get ready to share this passion.
    
3. Imagination: imagine having a whole section of films devoted to you and, should you wish for it, to your mom, dad, grandparents, uncles and aunts, friends and classmates. Imagine being a director, a film critic, a journalist, or a member of a prestigious jury. Imagine having fun with your friends and getting up on the Piazza Grande stage… Oops! We shouldn’t have said that…
