Cinema is an experience. To guarantee a future for movie theaters, the place where films are shared and lived to the fullest, the Locarno Film Festival has decided to turn to its community. To be there all together, as if we were in the cinema.
With a free and secure donation, through PayPal, credit card or bank transfer, it is possible to participate in the future of cinemas and therefore in a social, plural and free culture.
The best way to support movie theaters is by going there to experience cinema. That being said, in the year of the lockdown, which forced these places to close their doors and turn off their screens, there is another way to make yourself heard and take your seat by their side.
Together with the special tickets sold during Locarno2020, the Locarno Film Festival gives you the opportunity to support cinemas with free donations.
The funds raised will be paid in full to Swiss cinemas.
What matters is to be there.
