The story, inspired by true events in 1975, begins with the arrival of the Scalici family in a small village in German-speaking Switzerland after emigrating from Sicily. What was supposed to be the beginning of a new life turns into a waking nightmare. Not only are the villagers ready to do anything to prevent the Italian family from interfering with their customs, but also the house they move into comes to life and dark presences begin to animate it.
